Prof. RNDr. Ivo Sedláček, CSc., concludes his professional career
We are saying farewell to Prof. RNDr. Ivo Sedláček, CSc., our long-standing head, who is retiring, and we thank him for the many years we shared.
On February 17, 2025, participants of the Microbiology Excursions course, designed for biology and biochemistry students at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University, visited our collection.
During their visit, the students, accompanied by our culture collection curator, Dr. Dana Nováková, explored our laboratories and depositories and learned about the long-term preservation of microorganisms. They also attended a lecture by Dr. Monika Laichmanová on the involvement of the CCM in the Czech Antarctic Research Program and our research activities at the polar stations on James Ross Island and Nelson Island.
We thank the students for their visit and look forward to meeting them again next semester!
