Prof. RNDr. Ivo Sedláček, CSc., concludes his professional career

After more than forty years, a significant chapter of the professional life of Prof. RNDr. Ivo Sedláček, CSc., is coming to a close as he retires on January 15, 2026.

Since 1988, he has made an outstanding contribution to the development of our workplace, its scientific achievements, and its international reputation. Under his leadership, the Czech Collection of Microorganisms not only grew professionally but also became a place shaped by cooperation, respect, and a friendly atmosphere.

We thank him for his dedicated work, support, unwavering optimism, and countless shared moments. We wish him good health, plenty of peace and time for everything that had to wait until now.
