GAMU Career Restart grant awarded to our colleague Jitka Vives

Our colleague, Jitka Vives, Ph.D., has succeeded in the Career Restart project competition within the Research Support Program of the Grant Agency of Masaryk University.

Her two-year project (MUNI/R/1443/2024) focuses on the analysis of cellular fatty acid composition to characterize Antarctic oligotrophic bacteria adapted to cold environments. The aim of her taxonomically oriented research is to classify and identify unique bacterial strains isolated from the aquatic environment on James Ross Island, Antarctica.
